When Do We Show Grace?

Since Tuesday I have been asking myself this. When do we show grace?

This just didn't come to me as I was sleeping, driving or thinking. This came to me when asked about a decision I made as a music director.

How long do we wait to show grace?
Do we have a right not to show it?
Is there a reason not to show it?
Why wouldn't we show grace?

I know for me and this situation, I showed grace and felt it was a needed thing towards this person. Repented and clean. So people can't let go of the past, same names come up with different situations, maybe some should repent on their own sins, like judging, being ungraceful, holding past choices over people's heads until they leave the church.

Bottom line... Jesus forgave us of our sins and all the stupid things we do and bad decisions we make along the way, why in the world can't "godly" people do the same thing?

This is why people don't come to church, or leave, or tag Christian's as judgmental idiots.

No wonder the church is shrinking
