Sweet-voiced warbler and composer Don Carlos (born: Euvin Spencer) has had his greatest good fortune singing with Black Uhuru, the reggae trio he formed in 1974 through two friends — Rudolph Dennis and Derrick "Duckie" Simpson — from the "Waterhouse" circuit in Kingston. Carlos recorded only the same single with the group, leaving to hound a solo career and to execute with a band, Don Carlos and Gold. Sixteen years later he returned and joined by Dennis and Simpson to resurrect the archetype trio....
